Baking started out as a hobby. Cakes and cookies here and there. Then, before I knew it, baking consumed me. Every free moment I had was spent looking at recipes or thinking of new cake designs. I was a senior in college, on the path to become a doctor, when the calling to follow my heart took me to pastry school in Chicago.
This is the second time using Marissa to bake our family something special and she outdid herself yet again. We ordered a lemon cake with cream cheese icing especially for our soon-to-be micro wedding and the dessert was magnificent. Marissa is easy to work with - quite professional, while also super creative & has such eye for detail. We will continue to work with her for years to come. PS my fiancé who actually doesn’t even like dessert ate not only his slice... but mine, too! THAT is how much he really loved the cake.
